Socially aware eating.

This isn’t another post about eating out in a place the supports or helps disadvantaged kids.  Rather, this is a little something, something to bring awareness to a campaign running from the 9th November-24th December.

Here, watch a little video:

Streetsmart is a small organisation building who helps the homeless. Unlike other organisations, 100% of donations go to charities in the form of grants, and go back into the local community. What they’re doing is asking the public to make a small donation to Streetsmart on their bill, a simple $2 (which is definitely less than another glass of wine, a pot of beer or a sparkling minge). The donation is not your tip though, and only applies at participating restaurants. For a list of them, click here.

So, there you go. I just gave you an excuse to eat out more in the summer and feel good about being a fatty.

I believe you call that a win-win-win.
