Box hunting and a potential war.

I have recently moved house, but in the build-up to it comes the evil task of sourcing boxes.  Fortunately, one of my friends who is built to carry boxes (picture me dragging large rectangles along the street in boots…not pretty) offered to help me get some after coffee.  We were close to the market so decided on Seven Seeds.

Unfortunately, it started raining sheets, but that also meant that we were going to give up on boxes and have breakfast instead.

She ordered the bircher muesli with poached fruits, $9.50.

And I, the Egyptian Eye, $10.50.  It falls under their “pressed sandwiches” category and is really just one very thick slice of bread with a circle cut out of the middle.  An egg is cracked into the hole and they toast it in their sandwich press till the whites are just set and serve it with bacon, their house-made relish and a tangy salad.  Exactly what I wanted.

Seriously, exactly what I wanted.

We stubbornly went hunting afterwards for boxes but only found water-logged specimens or things that could really only pack 2 books.  Thank got for Twitter, because I ended up with many box deliveries over the week, the sweetest contribution from Mitch.  I have many boxes which I plan for a post-moving box war party.

Watch this space, or let me know if you want to join in my geekdom.
