Mum Cha…

Back to Sichuan Dining Room, but this time with the mother.  Not much to say at the moment, this is a distraction of mine in my break between the afternoon and evening shift.

Mother ate the noodle special, $6.80.  Beef brisket noodles.  She loved it, she said the noodles had great bite and finished it, despite the size of it.  Let me say that she never says that a dish is too large.  Funnily enough, she said she wished she had more broth and the beef probably needed a little more stewing.

The usually have a rice and noodle special, I think this day had mapo tofu as their rice special.

I had the Sichuan hot and sour noodles with peanuts and salted pickles, $8.80.  They’re potato starch noodles, and very well cooked.  There are a lot of times where I get overcooked potato starch noodles and this definitely was no where near the case.  They were actually al dente, if you could describe it as that.  The broth was perfectly salty, sour and hot, blowing away my hangover with the abundance of crunchy, refreshing bean sprouts.
And yes, it is vegetarian.
